Terms & Conditions


BOOKING AND PAYMENT: A deposit may be requested in order to secure a booking. Note that your booking may be cancelled if we have not received payment of a deposit within at least 2 weeks of this request or as per the terms provided on your booking, unless otherwise arranged, and you may lose your space. Payment of balance must be made 7 days prior to arrival and additional days paid for before midday if arranged. An enquiry IS NOT a booking until confirmed by us and/or a deposit has been received.


CANCELLATION:

Cancellation may be made at any time, deposits paid are non-refundable, any further payments due will not be made payable. Balance or 50% of payments made in full prior to arrival may be refunded up to 7 days before arrival date. For group bookings and exclusive full site bookings, deposits made are non-refundable, cancellation is as per your booking and payment terms. Once payments are requested no refund can be made, but no further payments will be requested. 

Deposits will be withheld for any unused days following early departure or late arrival. Use of our services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Postponement may be arranged at the discretion of Welsummer but never more than once and an administration charge of £10 will be deducted (Except bookings affected by COVID during season 2021 where postponement will incur no fees, please see below)

Welsummer Camping is not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event they are prevented from fulfilling your Booking as a result of circumstances beyond their control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events (“Force Majeure”). We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.


ON-SITE: Parties must register at the office before occupying a site and provide ID if asked. Unaccompanied minors are not permitted. Numbers must be strictly adhered to, any additional guests will be charged a fee and must be registered on arrival.


NOISE must be kept to a minimum and not be heard from outside the campsite at any time. Musical instruments are welcomed but no electrical equipment or stereos should be played. Please keep QUIET after 10.30 pm as there may be other people that want to sleep and sound carries in our small campsite.


FIRES Allocated areas, and the sizes of the fire pits must be kept to. Please do not light a fire ANYWHERE else. Wood and kindling must not at any time be taken from the woods or from any of the log piles – we coppice our wood carefully to provide sustainable energy for the houses, but we are happy to supply for campers at a cost. If laying wood is collected it WILL BE CHARGED FOR. We try to maintain a good relationship with the neighbouring landowners so please help us by NOT collecting wood from their land or from the footpaths. -Fires and barbecues must never be left unsupervised and must be put out before being left for the night. -Please exercise additional care during high wind, being aware of the distance from your fire to your own and your neighbour’s tent. Fires and barbecues are used entirely at your own risk.


PLANTS AND TREES must be respected, please avoid children pulling on them and damaging them. Green wood and branches should not be torn off for burning or games!


WASTE Recycling facilities for glass, paper and compostable raw food waste are provided. PLEASE use them. Our ethos is based on low environmental impact, so please help us keep to that. Please crush packaging as much as possible. The sites must be left as found, with all waste removed. Smokers must use an ashtray, please ask for one – don’t throw butts in the fires or on the ground – they are not biodegradable! smoking is not permitted in the toilets.


DOGS must be kept on a lead at all times, waste must be cleared by the owner. Pets are permitted in all camping pitches, and some of our cabins and glamping units where available. Some units are pet free. Please ask before booking to check availability of a pet free accommodation.


Whilst we make every effort to ensure a safe campsite we cannot accept responsibility for your possessions or personal injuries sustained whilst on the property or using fires. Agreement to stay on-site indicates agreement to these terms which are also displayed outside the campsite office. Failure to comply may result in your party being asked to leave the site without reimbursement.


ADDITIONAL TERMS FOR SEASON 2021

Bookings for the remainder of season 2021 will remain at the same terms EXCEPT: If further government regulations enforce any restrictions and / or further lockdown, we will postpone bookings to a later date in  2021 or 2022 without any additional charge and according to availability. Refunds for cancellation during this period will not be available. Credit for use at any time during 2021 / 2022 may be issued at our discretion.


Use of our services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
