The Whisky Library, conceived in 2020, as a lockdown project by one of our younger team members  and family. This weeny house was built by Julien in the middle of the woods, on a temporary base so as to retain the forest floor. Well insulated and timber clad it fits perfectly into its surroundings.

A perfect little bolthole for couples and individuals to find peace and serenity amongst the trees, a restful space, a reading corner, a glass of whisky around the fire, maybe…

Inside the space cosy up in a small double bed, with a small single for a small child. Bookshelf, dresser and rechargeable LED lighting.

There are windows with a view across the woodlands own front yard, and a covered seating area and counter around the back… bathtub here one day? 

The outdoor space is open to the woods with firebowl for cooking and dining table.

The cabin is completely Off Grid but small chargeable lamps are provided inside. Water and facilities are only a short way across the little meadow.

The campsite bubbles with families and laughter during the busy holidays and settles down to complete peace on weekdays. Out of season ( Oct – march), when there are no campers, share the space only with two or three other guests, the birds, the pheasants and the local wildlife. 

There is a covered shelter and lounge outside reception where you can charge a device, catch up on necessary work, buy some eggs and firewood, use the fridge…

Includes access to The ‘Kitchen Cupboard’ filled with plenty of exciting and practical cooking and dining equipment.
