How To Find Us

Coming from the Motorway / North and West:
From the M20 exit at junction 8, turn right at the first roundabout, left at the second and straight over the next two, following signs to Lenham on the A20.

After 1 mile take the second road on your right (Chegworth Road) signed to  Kingswood, Ulcombe and Grafty Green, there is also a brown campsite sign. (image 1.)
Go 1.9 mi. to the crossroads where you see opposite ‘Wents Service Station’.  (image 2.) Turn left here onto Lenham Road towards Platts Heath and Lenham. (This time ignore the brown camping sign as this is not us!)
Go another 1.1 mi past Greenhill Lane and the sign for Chalk House free range eggs. Welsummer is the next gate on your right before Elmstone Hole Lane and Platts Heath.   (image 3.)

If you use google or a satnav, go to ME17 1NQ, but please be aware that these often situate us a little further back on the opposite side of the road.
When you have arrived please drive up the left hand driveway all the way to the very end field where you can park the car on the left. Come and see us at the reception around the right of the brown hut and we will show you to your pitch. 

Coming from the East: 
On the motorway M20 leave at junction 8 and follow directions above.
From the A20 – Go Past Lenham, into Harrietsham and just after the lights turn left onto Fairbourne Lane signed Fairbourne Heath. Drive right to the top where you are at a give way. Turn left here onto Lenham Road. About 2 minutes along, past Greenhill Lane and the sign for Chalk House free range eggs. Welsummer is the next gate on your right before Elmstone Hole Lane and Platts Heath.   (image 3.)

Welcome to Welsummer!

Follow the road down from Harrietsham train station to the towards the village, turn left. There is a small shop on your left and the A20 in front of you with a Co-Op on the other side. Cross over the A20 and walk up the road opposite you.

Walk up the hill for 5 minutes or so to the top. Turn right down an even smaller lane – this is Runham Lane. Walk all the way to the end of this lane and turn right to go up the hill. Go past Elmstone hole Lane on your left, another 50 meters, until you see our double gate on your left. Call us if you have any doubts!

Getting here and settling in can be a little stressful, so prepare yourself by getting answers to your arrival questions here!

You can arrive from 2pm. If you think you will get here much past 8pm please let us know so that we can arrange to be here for you.

Dont worry. We live on site, so we can arrange to be there for you, but if it is very late at night, it may be difficult to have you arrive without disturbing everyone. Please get in touch so that we can help.

Try and get off at the junction before and follow signs to Bearsted village. Turn left onto the A20 and you will get back to the first roundabout in our directions. If you are coming from the east get of at junction 9 in Ashford and follow signs to Lenham then follow our instructions.

If Operation ‘Brock’ is in place, keep right on the Motorway to pass the lorries if you can but still GET OFF at junction 8. If the motorway is too busy, get off at junction 7 to come through Bearsted, or junction 6 to go through Maidstone town centre.

If the M20 is closed further back, use the M2 and then the A229 to Maidstone.

Catch a train from Victoria or Ashford to HARRIETSHAM if you are walking or LENHAM if you are cycling.

It is about a 20-30 minute walk from either.
